Donor Spotlight

Ontario Trillium Foundation

We are thankful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their longstanding support of our work to end gender-based violence in Niagara, as well as so many deserving programs and initiatives throughout Ontario.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation recently supported important work at our emergency shelter including moving our fire panel, installing a fire suppression system, and upgrading thermostats in client bedrooms.

Bench Brewing Company

We are truly grateful to receive a generous annual donation of $5,000 from Bench Brewing Company for our necessary priority programs and services at Gillian's Place.

Bench Brewing Company has been a loyal supporter of Gillian's Place, sharing a mutual vision of a community where women, non-binary individuals, and their children are free from violence and abuse.

This November, Bench Brewing Company launched Brave Noise Pale Ale, brewed in partnership with Beer Diversity. This brew project was created to honor those those speaking out against gender discrimination, racism, sexual assault, and harassments; and to bring further awareness to the issues that women, BIPOC, and LQBTQIA+ individuals face in craft beer.

LUMBERCHINO

Stephanie and Samantha of LUMBERCHINO held a successful t-shirt fundraiser in support of Gillian's Place this past October, raising an outstanding $3,086!

Not only did the Stephanie and Samantha raise funds for Gillian's Place, but their creative and empowering t-shirt designs coupled with an eye-catching and engaging social media campaign has raised much needed awareness for Gillian's Place.

Thank you for dedicating time away from the beautifully hand-crafted home décor LUMBERCHINO creates, to help Gillian's Place support survivors in our community!

Michael Sommer, Royal LePage

Michael Sommer of Royal LePage and the Royal LePage Riders Club raised $11,012 for Gillian's Place!

From battling elements on the Purcell Mountian Trek, to riding in a Smokin' Rockies Tour motorcycle ride from Calgary to Whistler, your dedication to Gillian's Place and those we serve is outstanding. Not only did Michael embark on his adventure this past year, but also in 2019 where Michael also raised funds for Gillian's Place through the Sahara Desert Trek!

We are so thankful that Michael chooses Gillian's Place as a beneficiary of these amazing adventures. On behalf of Gillian's Place, thank you Michael for your long standing support for those who we serve.

Rona Welland

Thank you, Rona Welland, for donating an outstanding $6,500 to Gillian's Place!

Through Lowe's Canada Heroes campaign, Rona Welland chose Gillian's Place as a recipient for their fundraiser this past September. throughout the month, customers were asked to make a donation to Gillian's Place to help work towards ending gender-based violence.

We are so grateful to be chosen as the partnering organization. Thank you for supporting women, non-binary individuals and children in our community.

Two Sisters Vineyards

A big thank you is in order for Angela and Melissa, the two sisters of Two Sisters Vineyards! We are thrilled to be the long standing recipients of proceeds from the delicious Margo Rose, raising a grand total of $8,000! Year after year, we are so thankful to be the recipients of the proceeds from the delicious Margo Rose.

Angela and Melissa have been committed to ending gender-based violence in our community through activism, and raising awareness for Gillian's Place and the services we provide. This past October, both sisters were part of our first-ever group of female ambassadors for Walk a Mile-YOUR Style.

Together, we are working towards ending gender-based violence!
