Raise Funds for Our Priority Programs.
Gillian's Place relies on events and fundraisers to help sustain our priority programs and services. The support garnered from our community ensures Gillian's Place is here to support survivors with or without children when protection and support is needed.
Our Priority Programs:
- Emergency Shelter for women, non-binary individuals, with or without children experiencing gender-based violence
- Second-Stage Family Program that employs a full-time family counsellor to support families on their journey to safe transitional housing.
- Legal Advice and Support provides much needed support and advice to survivors.
- Community Education and Violence Prevention Programs ensure that the community and Gillian's Place can work together to end gender-based violence through workplace workshops, trainings and educational resources to break the cycle of violence and abuse.

Raising awareness about the root causes is vital to addressing the issue of gender-based violence in our community. By raising awareness through an event or fundraiser, our community can work together to end gender-based violence.
Raising Awareness and Hosting an Event or Fundraiser:
- Hosting helps show survivors that their community truly cares about them.
- Creating awareness at a local level can help achieve broader social awareness and inclusion for those that are most vulnerable in Niagara, and beyond.
- Hosting an event or third party will draw in community members with similar interests in supporting those experiencing violence and abuse. This helps builds a wider connection socially, and makes a bigger impact.
